What you’ll do:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Paid Social Media Specialist to join our Durban based team! This involves building out a cohesive plan that suits overarching company goals, strategising tactics to achieve those goals, and generally exploring, testing, and optimising different social media channels to suit a brand’s audience.
Paid Social Media Specialists will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of paid social advertising strategies across both B2B and B2C businesses.
A Paid Social Media Specialist also needs to measure results by tracking metrics and insights on each platform. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic, and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.
What you need to know:
- Providing ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders
- Defining, measuring, and evaluating relevant paid media KPIs
- Setting up, managing and reporting on social ads
- Scheduling of all social media posts for all clients, as directed by Client Service
- Monitoring of all social media platforms for all clients, responding to simple enquiries and escalating complex enquiries to Client Service
- Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy after conducting competitive research, platform determination, messaging and audience identification
- Plan, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video and code) on a daily basis that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the brand
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Set up and optimise company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
- Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and social media best practices to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns
- Checking all scheduled social media posts (especially if not written by yourself)
- Check spelling and grammar
- Check for errors in links
- Check that image attached is relevant/inoffensive/catchy
- Basic social media training with clients (if required) as well as fellow team members
- Provide constructive feedback
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing. Not a requirement but advantageous.
- Experience in running top social platform ads (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads campaigns etc)
- Industry experience, plus agency experience is advantageous
- 2-5 years of comprehensive social media experience
- Passionate about social media outlets and the role it plays in connecting business and people
