Be seen online

Want to be seen online and have a burning question? We’ll throw a bucket of water at it, no problem. Before you enter the splash zone, though, check out the Q and A’s below. The answer you seek might just be there.

Just because you can’t see your Google Ads it doesn’t mean that your ads aren’t running. The most common reasons for this are as follows:

  • When you searched, your Google Ads daily budget might already have been exhausted.
  • If a user sees a Google Ad frequently and never clicks on it, Google may choose to stop showing the ad to that person. This is a very common occurrence when someone is constantly searching to see if their ad is showing.
  • Your personal IP address used to search the ad may be linked to your Google Ads account. Google may not always show your Ads to you because you are the creator of them.

Yes you may, however, it is not advisable to stop and start Google Ads, as it interrupts with the flow of the account. Ending your campaigns drastically diminishes your Ad rank, not to mention it removes you completely from the auctions – this gives your competitors a rank up in their positions. This means you have to fight harder when you decide to start advertising again (that means more money to get it back). We recommend decreasing your spend instead of stopping your ads completely.

In order for your Google Ads to perform well, we recommend a minimum spend of R3,000.00 per campaign. However, for a shopping campaign, we recommend a minimum spend of R5,000.00.

There are many reasons why your new (six months or less) website is not at the top of the first Google search results page. If your website is new, Google is not yet familiar with it and it won’t appear in the initial search results. Whenever you create a new website or blog for your business, the first thing you probably want to happen is to have people find it. And, of course, one of the ways you hope they will find it is through search results. But typically, you have to wait around for the Googlebot to crawl your website and add it (or your newest content) to the Google index. Once your website is indexed, you’ll start to see more traffic from Google search. The best way to ensure that your new content is discovered quickly is simply by sharing the link to the site on social media networks and putting spend behind Google Ads.

  • Google Ads headline: Is the larger blue text above a Google Ads description. Consider including at least one keyword in the headline to make the Ad even more relevant to the customer’s search results.
  • Google Ads description: The purpose of a Google Ads description is to highlight unique details about your product or service.

In simple terms, a local citation is any mention of your company online. This mention may include your company name, phone number, address, postal code, and website URL. A local citation may take place on local business directories, websites, apps, and social media platforms. The purpose of citations is twofold. One, to assist online users to discover local businesses. And two, to improve a company’s local SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) rankings and to be seen online. Read more via our blog post.
