What you’ll do:
We are looking for a creative, platform-native Video Content Creator (short-form specialist) to join our creative team and contribute to our short-form video strategy. You will be responsible for the end-to-end production of engaging, (mostly) vertical-first content. From trend spotting and filming to high-energy editing. The ideal candidate doesn’t just “make videos”; they understand how to stop the scroll in the first 0.5 seconds and drive meaningful engagement for our clients’ brands.
Key responsibilities:
- Production and shooting: Lead on-site and field shoots using both mobile (iPhone/Android) and mirrorless setups. You’ll handle basic lighting and audio to ensure high-quality content.
- Platform-first editing: Edit high-retention videos for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. This includes native platform editing (eg CapCut/In-App) and advanced desktop editing (eg Premiere Pro/After Effects) for more polished assets.
- Trend analysis: Daily monitoring of trending sounds, transitions, and formats. You should be able to pivot quickly to adapt different clients’ brand voices to cultural or trend-driven moments.
- Content ideation: Participate in creative sprints to brainstorm series, educational “how-to” clips, and BTS (behind-the-scenes) content.
- Optimisation: Implement “burnt-in” captions, high-contrast text overlays, and strategic use of emojis/SFX to maximise accessibility and watch time.
Technical skills and qualifications:
- Software: Proficiency in CapCut, Davinci or Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
- Hardware: Experience shooting with mobile stabiliser rigs and mirrorless cameras.
- Storytelling: A deep understanding of “The Hook” (first 3 seconds) and how to structure a narrative for a 15–90 second window.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a professional content role (or a high-performing personal portfolio that demonstrates these skills).
Junior vs. mid-weight:
Our expectation is that while a junior creator can follow a brief, a mid-weight candidate will be able to:
- Understand analytics: Use platform data to explain why a video flopped or flew.
- Batch produce: Efficiently manage a workflow that delivers 5–10 high-quality clips per week.
- Sound design: Go beyond just adding a song; using foley and layered audio to create an immersive experience.
Portfolio requirements:
Please include a link to a portfolio or a social handle you have managed. We are specifically looking for examples of vertical video that showcase your ability to handle transitions, dynamic captions, and audio-syncing.
Salary:
Determined by experience and portfolio.
