What you’ll do:
We are looking for a passionate WordPress Specialist and Elementor Expert to join our team! As a WordPress Developer at Brand Candy, you will be responsible for building and maintaining good looking and functional websites based on custom designs (no templates here).
You’ll need experience working on a variety of themes and using various page-builders in order to maintain all our clients’ WordPress websites.
Essential skills required include in-depth knowledge of the WordPress environment and building sites using Elementor, as well as a good eye for design, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress specialist can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client and support the client objectives.
What you need to know:
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer;
- You must have experience building websites using Elementor;
- Experience building eCommerce sites using WooCommerce;
- Ability to maintain and update websites across a variety of themes;
- Fluent in HTML and CSS;
- Understanding of design principles;
- Understanding of UX principles;
- Experience working with debugging tools;
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics;
- Basic Photoshop experience (to work with website designs to identify fonts, colours and export assets);
- Great communication (both written and verbal);
- Ability to systematically work through a brief and attend to each item, and provide clear feedback to client service and clients;
- Excellent problem solving ability;
- Understanding of SEO and how the structure and copy of websites influences Search Engine Optimisation;
- Ability to do basic SEO setup when a site goes live using an SEO plugin;
- Experience with domains, hosting, databases, and FTP (as it relates to building new WordPress websites).
